If you still haven’t watched Deadpool, here are a couple of very strong reasons why you totally need to do yourself a big favor by watching this movie.
Because it is Ryan Reynolds
Reynolds wanted to do this movie for as long as we can remember as he even tried his hands at becoming the Green Lantern. Without even a hint of doubt, he has done pure justice to this character. The way he plays the character of Deadpool, it feels like he was born to play it.
An R rated Comic Movie
The movie has been R rated and also been blocked at a number of places. It’s perfectly fine as the opening day of Deadpool got more sales than any other movie ever released. The banning part didn’t really hurt the movie.
Deadpool’s character is not for kids so how was it possible that the movie would be for kids?
Breaking Forth Wall
This is one of the coolest bits about Deadpool. This breaking the forth wall phenomenon where Deadpool talks to the watchers directly is just super cool and makes it feel even more real.
The Marvel Universe
Here’s one more reason why you need to watch the movie: Deadpool fits neatly with the X-Men universe. The film is heavily referenced by mutants with appearances of Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
The cast of Deadpool is right on track with their superb acting skills. Apart from Reynolds’ excellent acting, T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, and Ed Skrein have played major and exceptional roles in making the movie a huge success.
Way too Faithful to Comics
Right from the very start, movie captures the style of Deadpool comics perfectly. From the language used to the way Deadpool walks around and deals with situations, everything is just according to the comics. The costume and the violence portrayed in the movie are apt for who Deadpool is.
The superhero references at different places in the movie gives it an edge over other superhero movies. Deadpool makes fun of characters and movies like Wolverine, Avengers, Green Lantern, Alien 3, X-Men: Origins and Batman & Robin throughout the movie; he’d totally crack you up with the jokes. The funniest part? Ryan Reynolds even makes fun of himself in the movie.
Smart, sexy and sarcastic is what defines the character of Deadpool and that is surely the way it is in this movie. Deadpool’s sarcasm game is high, way too high.
Unlike other movies, opening credits of the movie will totally blow your mind. They have used one of the most creative opening credit styles; instead of using real names, you’d see names like A British villain, A moody teen, A gratuitous cameo, and A CGI character.
Enough reasons for you to go buy a ticket for yourself, right? Let us know how the movie went. Cheers.
